Bieler Père et Fils 2008 Côteaux d'Aix-en-Provence Sabine Rosé, $11
No wine says spring as clearly as new-vintage rose. Charles Bieler's 2008 is one of the best I've found of the new crop for the price: For just $11, you get a pretty pink full of crisp, dry red-raspberry flavor and a hint of herbs that brings the wooded hills around Aix to mind. It's savory and lasting, able to move from aperetif to dinner on the patio effortlessly.
