Marco Real 2006 Navarra Garnacha Rosado, about $9

What to do when it's 90 degrees in the shade? Start by chilling down a few bottles of Marco Real's hot pink rosé.

Then get a crusty boule from Denver Bread and gather a ripe red tomato, a few cloves of garlic and the best olive oil you can afford. Slice the bread thick, toast it, and rub the slices with garlic. Rub the tomato into the garlicky bread and then drizzle oil on it. Lick your fingers and pour cool glasses of this juicy, cherry-fruity rosado from the northwest corner of Spain.

If you close your eyes while eating your pan con tomate, you might even be able to feel a cool breeze off the Mediterranean.
